Commercial licence
Entelim is available under two licences. This page explains when you need the commercial licence from Archiet Ltd and what it gives you. It summarises the licence terms; the signed order form and the licence agreement it refers to govern.Open source or commercial
Open source. Anyone may use, change and self-host Entelim free of charge under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0. If you run a changed version as a network service, the AGPL requires you to make your changed source code available to the users of that service. Commercial. A commercial licence lets you do what the AGPL would otherwise stop, or require of you, including:- running a changed version of Entelim for your users without publishing your changes;
- building Entelim, or parts of it, into a product you do not release as open source;
- offering Entelim to others as a hosted service under your own terms;
- receiving a warranty, an indemnity and a support commitment.
Hosted subscriptions
If you subscribe to the hosted Entelim service, you do not need a separate licence to use it. Your subscription agreement gives your organisation's users the right to use the service for your internal business purposes for as long as the subscription runs.What the commercial licence grants
For the licence term and within the scope set out in your order form — which names the number of users, the environments and any products you may build Entelim into — Archiet Ltd grants your organisation a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use, copy and modify Entelim, free of the AGPL's obligations. Your changes belong to you. Entelim itself, and our changes to it, remain ours.What it does not allow
Unless your order form says otherwise, you may not:- pass on the licence, or sublicense Entelim, to another organisation;
- use the Entelim name or logo to suggest your product is ours or that we endorse it;
- remove copyright or licence notices from the source code.
